Development
Activities designed to support sensory exploration, early communication, fine motor skills, attention, and curiosity through age-appropriate play.
Evidence-based sensory play for little ones 3–12 months and their mums — designed to support development, nurture connection, and create a quiet, welcoming space to land.
Mini & Co. is a sensory play class for little ones 3–12 months and their mums, designed using play-based, developmentally informed activities that support sensory exploration, early communication, curiosity, and connection.
Gentle songs, simple play invitations, and intentional moments between you and your little one. A space where little ones can learn through play, and mums can feel supported, included, and at ease.
Each session is built around four ideas that we never compromise on.
Activities designed to support sensory exploration, early communication, fine motor skills, attention, and curiosity through age-appropriate play.
Intentional moments for you and your little one to interact through songs, mirroring, play prompts, and responsive engagement.
A gentle, low-pressure environment where little ones can explore at their own pace, and mums don't feel judged if their little one cries, clings, feeds, or simply observes.
A space where mums feel included, welcomed, and want to return — not just because the room is pretty, but because it feels good to be there.
Three evidence-based pillars shape every choice we make — from the songs we sing to the way the room is set up.
"Serve and return" — the back-and-forth interaction between a child and a caring adult — helps build brain architecture and supports early language, social skills, and later learning. We design intentional connection moments, not just sensory trays.
Australia's EYLF identifies play-based learning as central to children's development, relationships, agency, and learning. Our classes use simple invitations, repetition, open-ended materials, and follow each little one's cues.
Little ones thrive when they feel safe, loved, and supported — and play supports language, social skills, confidence, and wellbeing. The calm environment isn't aesthetic alone; it's part of what makes the class work.
Two small-group classes each week, held in the gentle light of the Sandown Room at Oran Park Library.
